I have always had a fascination with what goes on in the flower borders, the hedgerows and hollow trees after dark. I often spend time observing my cottage garden after dark, how the blue flowers glow, the white flowers pop, how the scent changes and the sounds differ. I have painted 3 pieces, first in the bright hues of the warm summer day, then glazing them with layer after layer of Prussian blue, finally adding the signature blooms.
