Commission "Our Story" SOLD đź”´
I make many commissioned pieces for clients but this request was incredibly special.
”Our Story” was commissioned to commemorate a Diamond Wedding Anniversary. A Tree of Life painting created to capture my clients memories of many happy years of marriage through the use of symbolism in the work. We had long conversations about adventures, family, music, pets, travels & the natural world, all brought together to make a very personal commission.
My client “A” and her husband “P” have enjoyed a rich adventurous life together, but what makes this work so special is the sad fact that P has no memory of their life, his health has been impacted by Parkinson’s disease and dementia. A wished to commemorate their long happy marriage by commissioning this piece so that, although she can no longer reminisce with P, she can be reminded of the many joys that they have shared over the years.
It has been an honour to make this work and to hear how much joy it has brought to A.
